Robi Budget ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal budgeting application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Robi Budget collects and stores the following data:
Account information: Your email address, used for authentication and account recovery.
Budget data: Categories, accounts, transactions, and assignments you create within the app. This data is stored locally on your device and synced to Google Firebase Firestore for multi-device access.
Voice input: When you use the voice transaction feature, your audio is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for speech-to-text conversion. Audio is processed in real-time and is not stored by us.
AI processing: Transaction text is sent to OpenAI's GPT API for parsing. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests beyond the transaction description you provide.
Data Storage and Security
Your budget data is stored locally on your device using SQLite and synced to Firebase Firestore, which is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication with email verification.
API calls to OpenAI are routed through our secure Cloudflare Worker proxy. Your OpenAI API key is never stored on your device.
We do not track your activity for marketing purposes.
We do not share your financial data with third parties beyond what is described above.
Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings. Upon deletion, your data is removed from our servers within 30 days.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access your data (available through the app's export feature)
Delete your data (available through account deletion in settings)
Request a copy of your data by contacting us
Children's Privacy
Robi Budget is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app.
